Green Team Discussion

I reviewed chapter 4 and this is what I came up with to start our conversations:

Who ever knew there were so many types of hackers and there are "good" hackers? When I hear the word hacker I think of some computer geek trying to steal things off computers. What type of hacker are you most likely to encounter in the school setting? Outside of school? Which area of hacking do you think we should target to raise awareness to our children/students?

Kelly,
Thank-you for your note on the discussion board. Your questions are good ones. I am going to enjoy working with you. I have read Chapter 5 and have 3 questions for us to consider:
1. What is the relationship between honesty and integrity and "hacking?"
2. What rights and freedoms, if any, should consumers have in the internet world to protect them from hackers?
3. When is it "OK" to hack private information?

I think I will go ahead and post my questions this afternoon as well. I have not done that before so it may take a little experimenting. :)

Kelly, my blog site is in a note under the blog site area and up and running. Your site is terrific.
Let me know what you think. Lucy
